Although the secretive daytime events are strictly for magicians only, the Friday & Saturday evening gala shows are open to the public!

On FRIDAY 19th

'The Alternative Comedy Magic Show' will take place, featuring Chris Cross performing his full Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024 preview show, followed by Chris Lynam. Cross has performed worldwide and started on Northumberland street twisting his arms and getting out of a straitjacket in a Houdini-esque stunt. Since, he taken his show to Dubai, Brazil, Egypt, Bahrain, Thailand, Italy, USA, South Africa and most places in-between! Cross has worked his magic and beaten Mike Tyson at a contest of strength (as seen on ESPN's SportsNation), freaked out rockstar Alice Cooper and baffled fellow Geordie, Sam Fender backstage at his concerts. An ambassador for the North-East, Cross is one of the most prolific magicians that has ever come out of Newcastle.

Lynam is a legend in the festival circuit and has been performing his unique off-the-wall act for over four decades. As seen on multiple primetime TV shows, including the 'Got Talent' series. He's regarded as a pioneer of British alternative comedy. He combines clowning, with mime and magic. The Chronicle said about Lynam in 2013, "A wild clown in a class of his own, surreal, unpredictable, insane, but always fantastically funny, he's a performer who needs to be seen to be believed". Paul Wilson (star of the tv series 'The Real Hustle') will be giving the audience a glimpse into expert card magic, whilst Luke Jermay (heavily responsible for a lot of tv miracles that you'll have seen on Derren Brown, Dynamo & Criss angel's TV shows) will be reading the minds of the audience and mesmerising with some deceptive tricks! The show is hosted by Chris Cross himself, also on the bill are Roy Davenport, Ian Kendal, Dan the Freak, Steve Faulkner, Peter McLanachan, Colin Bourdiec & Dr. Diablo. Newcastle's foremost magician, CHRIS CROSS, 34, from the West end of Newcastle, has organised this annual event, now in its third year.

He says: "It's great to be gathering the best magicians in the UK to perform in my home region! Audiences will be in for a true treat and get absolute value for their money. Each act on the show is worth the ticket price alone, each! ALSO, with it being such a small intimate venue, you will really get to see this stuff close-up. It's much better than watching it on the telly! We have attendees and magic fans coming from all around Europe to see this - and it's right on our own doorsteps. The Friday and Saturday shows are completely different to each other, so come see both. I've put a LOT of work into putting this weekend of magic together and I'm confident that you'll not see better magic shows this year in the UK. With less than 40 seats now currently available for each show, it will be a sell out each night - so book your tickets now!"
