1. Olly won £10 on Deal or No Deal before fame Two years before he made a name for himself on The X Factor, cheeky Essex chappie Olly Murs appeared on Channel 4's Deal Or No Deal. After turning a huge offer of £26,000 down from the banker, Olly went on win a paltry £10. Oh dear.

2. Olly has got a twin brother! Olly’s non identical twin sibling is called Ben! Both born on the 14th May 1984, despite being close growing up unfortunately Olly and Ben have been estranged since 2009.

3. Olly only pays himself a plumber’s salary Already a millionaire with sell-out tours and chart-smashing singles and albums under his belt, Olly only pays himself a salary in line with his mates who are plumbers or builders. After seeing bankrupt pop stars on TV show The Big Reunion, Olly limited his finances.

4. Olly holds a Guinness World Record for tea making. In January 2011, Olly and campaigner Alex Loughlin made a staggering 496 cups of tea in 60 minutes setting the world record for the most cups of tea made in one hour. Wow, make us a cuppa Olly!

5. Olly dropped a song from his gigs as it offended his Nan! After witnessing his grandparents have blazing rows, Olly was inspired to write a song called ‘I Don’t Love You Too’ for his 2011 album ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’. However, after his Nan took offence, Olly now doesn’t sing it, explaining: “I didn’t want her to be upset watching it.” Wise move, Olly!

6. Olly helped raise £1,375,037 for Red Nose Day For Red Nose Day in 2011, Olly trekked 62 miles across the Kaisut Desert in Kenya in temperatures of up to 100 °F (38 °C) with fellow celebs including Craig David, Ronni Ancona, Lorraine Kelly, Dermot O'Leary, Nadia Sawalha and Kara Tointon, Collectively they raised almost £1.4million! Impressive!

7. Olly lived with his parents until 2012 After shooting to fame when he came second on The X Factor in 2009, Olly continued to live with his parents Vicki and Pete in Essex until 2012 – incredibly three albums and two sell-out tours and millions of sales into his career!

8. Olly has worked with rock legend Paul Weller ‘Let Me In’, the final track on Olly’s 2014 album ‘Never Been Better’, was co-written by his musical idol – the modfather himself Paul Weller.
