The world's leading live disco event 'Brutus Gold's Love Train' is playing host to a never seen before virtual show this December.

Following a string of sell out shows at the Academy in Newcastle, Brutus Gold has pulled out all the stops to create the ultimate interactive online Christmas disco party in a bid to spread some seasonal joy and solidarity with its legions of fans throughout the North East.

Brutus Gold's Love Train has a long-standing relationship with the people of the region and regularly entertained crowds since launching on Teesside in 1989.

He's now calling on fans of disco and his legion of loyal fans to get involved in this never seen before event.

The world premiere of this finely tuned virtual Disco inferno can be streamed and viewed from the comfort of your own home and promises to transport people back to the glorious and carefree days of boob tubes, platform shoes and flares.

Pay per view video streamers will be able to boogie the night away to a soundtrack of A-Z Disco classics, lead by Puerto Rican Love God and guardian of masculinity, DJ ‘Brutus Gold’, along with his dance troupe and collective of 70s throwbacks, who are fully loaded with over-inflated egos and unparalleled dancing ability.

Speaking ahead of today's announcement from his luxury yacht - anchored somewhere in the Caribbean - Brutus Gold said: “Hey groovers 'n' movers of the North East, and the World! We all prisoners, chicky baby. We all locked in!”

“Don’t worry guys n gals, your Disco hero Brutus Gold and the whole gang are coming to the rescue to bring some joy into your home virtually in December. So push that sofa back, put on those flares and wigs, and turn your living room into a 70's nightclub.

“And remember, it's Christmas time baby. So bring out the Blue Nun wine, the Cherry B and Babycham. I want to see your living room transformed to how things were back in the day. Let's make this a Christmas ball to remember, man.”

“We have decided to do the ‘Love Train’ virtual Christmas Special to cheer you all up. It will be streamed directly into your home so you can get dressed up in safety with your family and party with us online. It will be the full show with all the cast.”

Established in 1989, The Love Train is the world's longest-running interactive 1970s disco show and has received plaudits the world over including the likes of MTV, actor Owen Wilson, and the queen of rock herself, Tina Turner, who revealed she “danced all night” after her Love Train private party booking.

The event features an array of disco throwbacks, dance-offs, competition giveaways and a full cast of crazy characters including the enigmatic Disco kid Alberto Balsam, Berni Inns, Chad Valley, Carlito, Disco Dick, Camp David, Ana Glypta, the outrageous Polly Ester as well as the legend that is Brutus Gold. There will also be an onslaught of dazzlin’ routines by Brutus’s very own dance troupe of disco dollies 'The Brutus Gold Affair' featuring Alison, Shobi and Wednesday.

Set to the backdrop of one of Yorkshire's most iconic venues, the December show will come to life with a burst of colour and sound combined with first-class production and retro scenery.

“Don't be feelin' down, don't be feelin' blue, Brutus is comin' to entertain you. That's right, it's time to unite for the ultimate disco night,” adds Brutus.

“Dress UP, Get DOWN and PARTY with the whole family onboard my Love Train this Christmas. I gotta sack full of fun, funk and good times!”

In the lead up to the event, there will also be a 'BEST DRESSERS COMPETITION PRIZE' where families can send in their pictures from home prior to the event. The winning entry will be confirmed across The Love Train social media channels alongside a huge prize worth £300. The public are encouraged to watch out for updates about this.

'The Love Train virtual Disco ball' will take place on Friday 18th December.

Pay per view tickets are priced at £9.99 and will be available from 10 am on Monday 16th November.
