19-year-old man stabbed in Newcastle

An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed in Newcastle. The 19-year-old was leaving Summerhill Park at around midday on Wednesday when he was approached by two men. They asked him if he had any money and then assaulted him. The victim suffered a puncture wound to his leg during the attack. He was treated by paramedics before attending the RVI for further treatment. The attackers are described as - Male 1: White, mid 20’s, skinny build, tanned skin, 6ft tall with dark brown messy hair 4-5 inches in length. Dark stubble, wearing a plain black t-shirt, dark bottoms. Male 2: White, 23yrs, athletic build, 5’9”-5’10”, short dark brown hair (short back and sides style), wearing a black jacket.
