Iconic ABBA singer Agnetha Fältskog has unveiled details of her 12th studio album.

Simply entitled ‘A’, the 10-track album sees Agnetha join forces with Swedish songwriter/producer Jorgen Elofsson, famed for his work with Leona Lewis, Britney Spears, Westlife and many more.

“She wanted to make music again,” says Elofsson, “We could feel that. She had been thinking about it. Basically, she’s a musician, a songwriter/singer who hasn’t done that for a while. We saw her open up, become much happier, with music again in her life.”

The record boasts a Gary Barlow collaboration ‘I Should’ve Followed You Home’, current single ‘When You Really Loved Someone’ and Agnetha’s first co-written song in years ‘I Keep Them On The Floor Beside My Bed’.

62-year-old Agnetha commented: “I hadn’t written any music for a long, long time. But I sat at the piano, and suddenly it was there.”

Explaining that they approached the album with a blank slate, Elofsson added: “We wanted to make this as if Agnetha hadn’t entered ABBA.

“We were interested in what she would have sounded like if she hadn’t been in the group. And yet it’s important that she comes across as we remember her to be.”

‘A’ is released on Monday 13th May and the single ‘When You Really Loved Someone’ is out now.

The track-listing for 'A' is as follows: 1. The One Who Loves You Now 2. When You Really Loved Someone 3. Perfume In The Breeze 4. I Was A Flower 5. I Should´ve Followed You Home 6. Past Forever 7. Dance Your Pain Away 8. Bubble 9. Back On Your Radio 10. I Keep Them On The Floor Beside My Bed
