On 13th September, a blazing fire destroyed the Mill House pub and restaurant near Springwell, Gateshead.

For Tracey Powell, this news was unimaginable, as on 22nd September she planned to have her wedding at this location. Tracey had already paid for everything, with the total bill at the Mill House being £6,500.

After receiving a phone call from one of Tracey’s concerned friends, Metro Radio contacted the devastated bride; and when the North-East heard her story, they pulled together to save the wedding.

With an overwhelming response of help, ranging from wedding venues to catering, we were happy to introduce to Tracey to John from Ramside Hall, Durham.

Tracey was presented with a complimentary wedding, including reception, drinks, four course meal and an evening buffet.

“That is amazing, I can’t believe it! Thank you so much.” She said, as she received this wonderful news.

We are over the moon for Tracey, and hope she has an amazing day.
