P!nk hits back at troll who said her Super Bowl performance ‘sucked’
Wow!
We all heard about Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl performance, but P!nk was also there to belt out some tunes, despite having the flu!
A day before her performance at the Super Bowl, P!nk posted a photo on Instagram captioned, 'Trying to practice the flu away. I’ve been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song.'
Unfortunately for the pop star she couldn't shake the flu in time, however she still went ahead with her performance and was filmed spitting out a throat lozenge just seconds before she sang the American National Anthem.
However, despite her illness some people weren't impressed by her performance and took to Twitter to let the superstar know.
One user said, 'If I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times. Pink sucks and if you like her singing you're dumb #SuperBowl'.
However, P!nk wasn't going to accept this critism and replied to the tweet saying, 'Yeah but altleast I suck while singing our countries national anthem, and you just suck by yourself on a dirty couch. #winning'. sic
A number of other celebrities supported P!nk on social media, with American actor Richard Speight, Jr. saying, 'Not that you need my validation, but I saw you live in concert, and you blew my mind. You sang your face off - and you were upside-freakin’-down on a trapeze for crying out loud. Ignore naysayers. You are a massive talent, and it was an honor to have you sing our nation’s anthem.' sic
Actress Briana Buckmaster also supported her responding with emojis, '😊❤️👌🏻'.
Not to be put down by the troll P!nk went on to thank everyone for their support. The singer posted a photo of herself with her daughter saying, 'All of your prayers and well wishes and candles got me through. Thankyou for all of your love and support. We ❤️ you. #SuperBowl2018'. sic
