Singer Ed Sheeran might be busy on his tour but he's still had the time to add a new tattoo to his mammoth collection of around 60, however he has admitted to fans that there was a mistake on his most recent inking.

While on the Glasgow leg of his tour, Ed reportedly told his fans that he blamed actress Saoirse Ronan for misspelling the recent tattoo. The 23-year-old Irish-American appears in the music video for 'Galway Girl' and Ed had asked her to do a handwritten design of the song title.

"It actually says Galway Grill. G-R-I-L-L. She really took the p**s out of me - full on," Ed told the gathered crowd over the weekend.

"When we were filming it I meant to get a tattoo of her handwriting saying 'Galway Girl' from her point of view."

Ed released 'Galway Girl' last month and it immediately went to number two in the UK charts, however he has yet to release the music video, having only uploaded the lyric video YouTube.

Last month we caught up with Ed Sheeran when he performed his comeback single 'Shape of You' exclusively for us using just a loop pedal:

And here he is performing his second comeback single 'Castle on the Hill', released at the same time as 'Shape of You':
