A Norfolk town will receive nearly £1m in funding to help make its centre more attractive.

Wymondham will see a funding boost of around £955,000.

It will be made up from £250,000 contributions from the town council and South Norfolk Council, and more than £400,000 from the sale of the former council offices in Middleton Street, which were owned by South Norfolk Council.

The funds will be used for ‘public realm improvements’ to make the town centre more appealing - though more details are yet to be revealed.

South Norfolk Council says it will spend up to £50,000 on a public consultation about how the money will be allocated.
