The first designs have been unveiled for a £1m revamp of a Norfolk town centre.
Wymondham will receive a funding boost of around £955,000 to make its centre more attractive, as part of a deal between South Norfolk Council and the town council.
The scheme has been in the works for several years but the nature of the changes to be made has remained unclear until now.
In newly-released plans, the options being considered for different parts of the town centre have been revealed, in the hopes of identifying which ones to take forward.
Both councils are making a contribution of £250,000 to the project and more than £400,000 will also be used from the sale of the former council offices in Middleton Street, which South Norfolk Council owned.
The funding pot faced collapse last year as South Norfolk Council threatened to take its offer off the table amid a standoff with town councillors, who said their authority could not afford its contribution to the project.
The initial designs have been put together following a consultation with locals, which identified three priorities for the project.
These were the extension of the trading day, seeking to make the town centre more commercially viable and improving access to it, and expanding the town centre to have a variety of uses.
The work has also found seven key areas which will be the focus of the scheme, namely Town Green, Church Street, Market Street, the Market Street bus stop, Market Cross, Market Place and Fairland Hill.
The designs have been published with an indication of how much each piece of work might cost, and it is hoped locals will help to narrow down the preferred options.
It is estimated that construction work in the town centre will begin in spring next year.
