A women who says she was spiked in Norwich is calling for more awareness and training among door staff.

Beau Pellin says she fell ill suddenly last Friday at the Adrian Flux Waterfront - but claims security staff didn't help her.

She told us: "Because I've posted this on social-media a lot of people have come forward and told me their stories. They want to help with my case and make a movement on training security guards better and hopefully get medics on site".

She also told us it's an issue that's happening across the country and it needs to be addressed: "There's been a lot of case where people have been getting spiked and it leaves people with trauma for the rest of their life.

"It could physically damage their body and nobody cares enough at the moment that this is a serious problem and it needs to be addressed".

In a statement on social media the Adrian Flux Waterfront says it takes customer safety extremely seriously and an investigation into the incident is "currently taking place".

They concluded by saying they'd "hopefully be able to release a full statement soon".

A Norfolk Police spokeswoman told us: “We are investigating an incident which reportedly happened at the Waterfront on Friday 18 February, to see if a crime has taken place. We are being assisted by the venue in securing any evidence that may later be relevant. We encourage any person who feels they have been the victim of, or witness to, a crime, to come forward”
