A man's been charged with the murder of his 19 year-old daughter in West Winch.

Detectives have charged 44 year-old Nigel Malt, of Lynn Road in King's Lynn with murder following the death of a woman on Sunday night.

He's accused of killing his 19 year-old daughter Lauren Malt, and has been remanded in custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court on Wednesday 26th January.

Lauren, who was provisionally named by police yesterday, was pronounced dead on Sunday night after being involved in a collision in Leete Way.

Officers were called just before 7.30pm after reports of a disturbance and that a woman had been hit by a car.

A Home Office post-mortem has established the preliminary cause of death to be chest and abdominal injuries.

Initial enquiries on the night of the incident led to officers arresting Nigel Malt at the hospital on suspicion of murder, causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving.

Anyone who may have information about what happened is asked to contact officers on 101.
