Norwich City head coach David Wagner says his team were beaten by "a top quality side" in the club's 5-2 FA Cup loss away to Liverpool.

"I think we've been beaten by a top quality side," Wagner said. "They're the best team in England at the moment, but how the players worked and fought showed commitment and played some good football.

"The speed and the intensity if you face a team like Liverpool. We were able to use this game to get some players back into the squad with game time.

"We scored two wonderful goals, but we unfortunately we're out of this competition. We need to do what we've done in recent weeks and make sure we do everything we can to finish in the play-offs."

The Canaries welcome Coventry City to Carrow Road on Saturday, in the next Championship fixture, and Wagner says he's keen to see a return to winning ways: "It's a very important game, as was Leeds, and West Brom, and Hull. All of these games are important, and we've shown good performances.

"At home at Carrow Road, we need to continue what we've done. Be competitive and hard to break down, and we need to work hard and play some good football.

"This is exactly our aim against another very good side. They are fighting for the play-offs, and we play at home. This gives us a lot of confidence."
