Two men taken to hospital after attack in Norwich

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Norwich in the early hours of Sunday morning (6 April 2025).

Officers patrolling in the area were made aware of the incident at 1.19am (Saturday night into Sunday morning) on Prince of Wales Road where two teenage boys assaulted two men using knives.

The ambulance service attended the scene and both victims were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A boy aged in his late teens was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.

Two further boys, both aged in their late teens, have since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they remain.

A police cordon was in place whilst officers conducted their enquiries.

The cordon was lifted at around 8am on the same day (Sunday 6 April 2025).

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any relevant mobile phone footage.
