Norfolk Tulips has once again opened a field of colour to the public today.

Tickets have sold out for the annual event which raises vital funds for The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House.

The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House provides highly skilled palliative care for the terminally ill as well as support, care and advice to patients over the age of 18, their carers and families through all stages of their illness.

The support they provide is tailored to the individual; encompassing their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. This is all completed in a understanding, caring and compassionate way. The work they do is truly incredible and life changing.

They support approximately 1,100 families in West Norfolk each year.

Lewis Eaves is part of the planting team at Norfolk Tulips and told us they're pleased with this years crop, but it has come with it's challenges:

"In the middle of the field sadly we have got a patch we couldn't plant as October was so wet. We had to get a mini digger in and we put land drains in just to shift water off the field, only then were we able to finish planting the field, but we are quite happy with how the field has ended up as they were so late going in. "

Nicky Ellis from the hospice told us how vital fundraising is to them:
