Family pay tribute to motorcyclist who died months after Attlebridge collision

Matthew Reil's loved ones say he brought happiness and laughter to everyone he met

The family of a motorcyclist who died two and a half months after a collision near Attlebridge has issued a tribute to him.

Matthew Reil, aged 23, was injured in the three-vehicle collision at the roundabout between Fakenham Road and the A1270 on Monday 23 June 2025.

He sadly died in hospital on Monday 8 September.

Matthew’s family has asked for the following tribute to be issued:

"Our family is truly heartbroken at the loss of our wonderful son.

“Matthew brought happiness and laughter to everyone he met and was always there to help anybody with a smile.

“He is missed beyond words and will be remembered with love by all who were privileged to have known him."

A woman in her 30s who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving at the time of the collision remains on bail while investigations continue.
