Trial starts for King's Lynn woman accused of murder after fatal stabbing

The trial of 50 year old woman accused of murder is underway at King's Lynn Crown Court.

Birute Klicneliene, of Sir Lewis Street in King's Lynn, is accused stabbing 50 year old Dace Kalkerte to death on on April 18.

Ms Kalkerte was found with serious injuries in Highgate, near Gaywood Road.

She later died of a stab wound to the abdomen, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in West Norfolk on April 16th.

Klicneliene denies the charge and plead 'not guilty' in mid-June.

The jury, consisting of eight men and four women, has been sworn in today, and it's thought that evidence will be given from around the beginning of next week.
