Train derailment causes disruption in Norfolk
We're being urged to check before we travel
There are delays on the railway this morning - after a train derailed after hitting a tree near Thetford.
It happened last night, between Thetford and Harling Road, near East Harling.
We're being warned to check before we travel.
Greater Anglia's issued this this advice for customers:
"Do not travel between Norwich and Ely.
A train operated by another train company has struck a large tree and derailed between Thetford and Harling Road... All lines are blocked.
"Train services between Norwich and Cambridge have been suspended, train services between Norwich and Stansted Airport will only operate between Cambridge and Stansted Airport.
"At present we have no estimate of when the line will reopen."
This incident also affects East Midland Trains.
Changes
Great Northern and Cross Country will pass Greater Anglia ticket holders between Cambridge and Ely
Passengers from Norwich to Stansted Airport can travel via Ipswich or London Liverpool Street
Greater Anglia says it's currently trying to resource rail replacement vehicles to operate between Norwich and Ely
Injuries
Police tell us one person sustained minor injuries.
