Three people to on trial charged with murdering London teenager in Norwich

Three people will go on trial to face murder charges following the death of a 19-year-old man found stabbed at a flat in Norwich.

Leon Bangura, 20, of Old Kent Road, London, Adam Dugdale, aged 55, of Shorncliffe Avenue, Norwich, and Carrie-Anne Hall, aged 51, of Lodge Breck, Norwich, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday 2 October 2024 after being charged with murder.

A trial date has been provisionally set for April 28 next year and is expected to last for four weeks.

The three remain remanded in custody until the court date.

Police were called after reports a man’s body had been left at a flat in Lefroy Road, Mile Cross and made the discovery at 10.40pm on September 21.

The victim has been identified as Kalvin Taylor from London pending formal coroner’s inquest proceedings.

A Home Office post-mortem examination confirmed the man’s death was consistent with a single stab wound to the chest.

Bangura has additionally been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

A fourth person, Matthew Holmes, 51, of Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, has been charged with assisting an offender. He remains on conditional bail.

A plea and case management hearing has been planned for the 20 December 2024.
