Three men jailed for combined 15 years over Thetford drugs conspiracy

The trio were charged after a block of a cocaine worth £100,000 was seized

Three men have been jailed for a combined total of more than 15 years, for their roles in a conspiracy to move drugs between Liverpool and Thetford.

35 year old Daryl Husbands, of Chase Court, will serve six years nine months for conspiracy to supply a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of a psychoactive substance.

33 year old Charlie Blackwell, also of Chase Court, will serve six years for conspiracy to supply a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession with intent to supply a psychoactive substance.

David Klec, 34, of Peter Drive, will serve three years for conspiracy to supply a Class A drug.

The trio were arrested after a BMW registered to Klec made nine seperate trips between Thetford and Liverpool between March and June 2021..

He was seen to meet Husbands and Blackwell upon his return to exchange large packages.

A raid on Blackwell's home in August 2021 led to the discovery of a compressed block of cocaine with a street value of around £100,000.

DC Daniel Rayner of Norfolk Police said: “These are significant sentences that illustrate our zero-tolerance approach towards drug supply.”

“We are committed to disrupting those who choose to distribute drugs in our county.

"I hope this sentence acts as a deterrent to anyone who may choose to involve themselves in this type of criminal activity.”
