Three arrested after blank firing gun seized in Norwich
Police carried out a raid last night after a suspected firearm was spotted on CCTV
Three people have been arrested and a blank firing gun has been seized after a police raid in Norwich last night.
Officers say they've recovered a handgun and ammunition after searching an address in Winalls Yard at arounf 7pm.
Three men, age 18, 19 and 22 are being held for questioning on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
The raid came after a group of people were spotted on CCTV in the John Lewis car park on All Saints Green with a suspected firearm.
Superintendent Terry Lordan, of Norfolk Police, said:
“No one was injured during this incident and following initial enquiries, we don’t believe the wider public were at risk.
"The suspects in custody will be questioned and officers will work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
