A charitable trust that supports worthy causes across Norfolk has made a £20,000 donation to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The R C Snelling Charitable Trust is a corporate foundation associated with the Snelling Group.
The Trust’s aim is to help and support worthy causes – both individuals and organisations - within a 30-mile radius of the village of Blofield.
Its cheque for EACH was handed over during a special presentation at The Nook, in Framingham Earl, near Norwich.
Trustee Stephan Phillips was given a guided tour of the hospice by EACH Chief Executive Phil Gormley.
Mr Phillips said: “The Trustees are very proud to be able to make this grant and support the team at EACH, who continue with their incredible work helping children and families.”
The Trust is a long-term supporter of EACH, which provides care and support for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and their families, across Norfolk.
It has been supporting the charity since 2008, with its previous donation being for £15,000, to be spent on equipment and projects at The Nook.
Mr Gormley said: “This is a very generous donation and one we are extremely grateful for.
“It will make a huge difference in terms of allowing us to continue looking after and supporting the children, young people and families in our care.
“We are also delighted to continue our long and proud association with the R C Snelling Charitable Trust, which does such a wonderful job of helping and supporting special causes across Norfolk.”
The Trust makes donations to causes that have a medical, educational, religious, welfare or environmental resource connection and in 2019-2020 it gave grants to more than 60 causes.
The Snellings Group has existed for over 50 years and the Trust was registered in 1999.
