Thetford-based packaging firm Camvac goes into administration
The firm employs around 150 people locally
Thetford-based packaging firm Camvac has appointed adminstrators, putting around 150 local jobs at risk.
The firm makes makes packets for food as well as parts for things like blinds and electrical products from its base on Burrell Way on the outskirts of the Norfolk town.
A notice appearing in the London Gazette, an official journal of record, names advisory firm Alvarez & Marsal as administrators, as of September 14th.
First formed in the 1950s in Cambridgeshire, Camvac has employed people in Thetford since the 1960s, initially making plastic-based textiles and decorative tinsel.
