Teen seriously injured in Colney crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a cyclist and pedestrian in Hethersett Lane, Colney.

A 15-year-old girl was walking towards Hethersett with her two sisters when the incident happened on Wednesday 24 February at about 6pm.

A man cycling in the same direction on the road, which was closed at the time, collided with the girl, causing her to fall to the ground and causing him to come off his bike.

The man, thought to be aged between 25 and 30, around 6ft tall with short dark hair, was wearing headphones and left the scene cycling off towards the football training ground.

The teenager suffered serious injuries which required hospital treatment.

Officers are keen to trace the cyclist or hear from anyone with information about the incident.

Witnesses should contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting incident number 382 of 24 February.
