'Major incident' in Suffolk stood down but people urged to 'remain cautious'
It comes after several villages in the county were hit hard by Storm Babet
A 'major incident' which was declared by authorities in Suffolk amid serious flooding caused by Storm Babet has been stood down.
However people in the county are being urged to 'remain cautious' and to follow safety advice.
A cleanup effort is now underway, with some villages in Babergh and Mid Suffolk hit especially hard by flooding.
Homes were flooding in locations including Debenham and Framlingham, with some people being left stranded on Friday night and unable to get home.
There was also major transport disruption on key routes, including the A140, A1120 and A12.
Greater Anglia rail services were halted after water inundated many sections of track.
Ipswich Town's match at Rotherham on Friday night was also called off due to the impact of the storm in South Yorkshire.
