The funding from Suffolk's Police and Crime Commissioner, Tim Passmore, has been shared between projects that aim to reduce crime and disorder, or support victims in the county.
Mr Passmore said: "I am absolutely delighted to be able to support these local organisations in their valuable work. We rely very heavily on the support of voluntary and community organisations and we are indebted to them for their commitment and enthusiasm.
"I truly believe that without the support of organisations such as these we would be a much poorer society."
The successful organisations are:
- Anglia Care Trust, who received £16,239 to support their money advice service for victims of abuse.
- £19,630 for Emmaus Suffolk for their project to support those who have offended, or are on a day release from prison.
- The Racing Centre in Newmarket successfully bid for £10,000 which will be put towards a detached youth worker to support young people in the town.
- RFEA, the forces employment charity, received £20,000 for Project Nova for veterans in Suffolk who have been arrested or identified as at risk. It also works to prevent violent crime.
- The Reader organisation received £7,527 for their Through The Gate project to help ex-offenders with their mental health.
- The successful organisations were chosen by the grant panel, who met virtually and comprises of Tim Passmore, a representative from his executive team and Suffolk Community Foundation.
