A section of the east end of Sheringham Promenade has been temporarily closed for emergency repairs due to structural concerns.

The Coastal Management team has identified a large void beneath the promenade structure that requires urgent attention.

Barriers have been put in place to restrict access, and the council is urging people not to cross them or attempt to walk through the closed area.

Investigations are underway to determine the full extent of the issue and to find a long-term solution. The promenade will be reopened only when it is deemed safe.

While access to the beach is still available at both ends of the promenade, visitors are advised that there is no through access during high tide.

The council and its Coastal Management team are working to address the situation as quickly as possible.
