Man injured in serious crash on the A47 at Scarning

Norfolk Police was called to deal with a serious crash on the A47 at Scarning at around 8.43am yesterday morning (4th May).

The road was closed in both directions between the Fakenham turn off and the Wendling turn off for almost 24 hours.

It reopened at 5.27am on Thursday 5th May after repairs could be made to the damaged road surface.

A HGV and a car were involved in the collision.

An air ambulance, hazardous response team and two land ambulances were among emergency services on the scene.

The East of England Ambulance Service says one man was treated at the roadside before being taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for assessment and care.
