Body found in the River Wensum

A man in his seventies has died

The body of a man's been found in the River Wensum.

Police were called to the scene near Oak Street in Norwich at 6.07pm on 25th August.

Following searches, officers, supported by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, recovered the body of a man in his 70s from the water.

A police cordon was in place but has now been removed.

The force tells us his death is not believed to be suspicious, but confirmed officers are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of his death.
