Two teenagers have been found guilty of the murder of a Norfolk teenager who was stabbed in Ipswich town centre.
18 year old Raymond James Quigley (who was known as James), from Wymondham, was fatally wounded in the attack on Westgate Street on January 17th 2023.
A post-mortem examination found he suffered four stab wounds to the torso, according to Suffolk Police.
Alfie Hammett, aged 19 and of Larkhill Rise, Rushmere St Andrew, and Joshua Howell, aged 18, of Wellington Street, Ipswich had denied the charges.
They'll be sentenced in March.
Bleed kits campaign
James' mother, Margaret Oakes, has spent the past year raising money and fighting to get specialist kits which stem extreme blood loss installed in the East.
Speaking to Greatest Hits Radio previously, she told us: "I think it's very important that these are out here, because I don't think there's many around, and they're not funded.
"These kits can stop and prevent a bleed. They can help stop lung collapses, if somebody has had a car accident for example."
Rememberance
two Ipswich churches rang their bells, to mark a year since James' death.
In a post shared on social media St Mary le Tower Church wrote: "We are tolling our bells as a mark of respect, on request of James' family.
"But also, as a way of acknowledging the grief and trauma brought by the horrors of knife crime. May such a thing never happen again."
