Police respond to discovery of 'unexploded ordnance device' in Sprowston
Emergency services have been on scene since around 11:30am this morning
Emergency services are on scene in Sprowston, following the discovery of an unexploded ordnance device.
The device was found while work was being carried out in Allens Lane and it was reported to police at 11.28am this morning.
A 100-metre police cordon is in place, along with road closures in the area.
Police and fire remain at scene.
The army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team has been called and is expected to arrive shortly.
