Police hunt man after attempted sexual assault in Great Yarmouth

Police are trying to trace a man after an attempted sexual assault in Great Yarmouth early yesterday.

It happened at around 4:09am as the victim was walking on North Quay, close to the Aldi store.

The victim in her 30s had been followed along Southtown Road prior to the incident.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s, with brown hair and stubble, wearing a brown jacket and khaki combat trousers.

Detective Inspector Donald Dallas, of Norfolk Police, said: “We are currently investigating the circumstances around this incident and would appeal to anyone who may be able to help with information or footage."

"We are also carrying out extra patrols in the area for reassurance.”
