Police launch appeal after Beeston Regis arson

It caused £45-50K of damage

Police are appealing for information after a suspected arson near Beeston Regis.

The incident is thought to have taken place sometime between 11:20pm on Saturday 24 June 2023, and 2:30am on Sunday 25 June on Briton’s Lane, just off the A148.

An unknown person entered a yard and set fire to a stack of wood in a barn.

The fire spread, causing extensive damage to infrastructure and machinery, estimated at a loss of £45-50K.

Officers are looking to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage from the area at the time.
