Norfolk County Council has given its reaction to Prime Minister's roadmap out of lockdown.

Boris Johnson adddressed the Commons earlier today (22 February) to outline how he believes England can ease restrictions over the next few months, but stressed it would be down to data to determine the final dates.

Commenting on the announcement to the Commons, Leader of the authority, Councillor Andrew Proctor said:

"I welcome the PM's roadmap for giving us clarity on how lockdown can be eased, in stages, based on the data.

"Covid figures in Norfolk are going down but we are not complacent and want to ensure that this progress is maintained as lockdown eases.

"We will support schools in making the preparations they need to ensure children can return from the 8th of March. We will make decisions on our other services in due course and will update you when we can."
