Pedestrian left with potentially life-changing injuries after Henstead crash

A pedestrian and a car were involved in the collision on the A12.

Police were called to the A12 in Henstead on Tuesday 5th January by the Ambulance Service at around 9.15pm.

A collision involving a male pedestrian and a blue Vauxhall Corsa had been reported.

The pedestrian was taken to the James Paget Hospital with a potentially life-changing leg injury.

The northbound side of the road was closed for over two hours, reopening at 11.35pm.

Police are asking for any witnesses, including anyone driving in the area at the time who has a dashcam, to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Police HQ Martlesham, quoting reference 808/21.
