Pedestrian dies and man arrested after crash in Norwich
A woman in her 70s was fatally injured on Drayton Road on Friday
A woman in her 70s had died after being hit by a car in Norwich late last week.
It happened on Drayton Road shortly after 5pm on Friday (November 10), with the collision involving a single pedestrian and a Nissan Qashqai.
The driver of the Nissan, a man in his 60s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning and has since been released on bail.
