A picture of a Norwich teenager's cat with a 'vampire tooth' has won first prize in an RSPCA photo competition.

'Half Vampire' was taken by 18-year-old Amy Buck and was singled out from 11,000 other entries.

Amy said: “I’m so happy that the judges liked my photo so much.

“Over lockdown I have been trying to improve my skills and I wanted to learn more about using flash to enhance my photography, so in this particular photo I was experimenting with flash drop-off which I had read about in a book and online.

"My cat Sid was the perfect model, as his single fang on his right side can make him look sinister and menacing, which the flash drop-off effect highlighted particularly well here. In reality he is the most friendly cat you'll ever meet, and the contrast between his personality in real life and what is conveyed in this image makes it all the more interesting for me. I took this photo in my bedroom on my first DSLR camera, a Canon 550D.”
