Man charged with murder following Norwich stabbing
A man died on Friday evening
A 46-year-old man has been charged with murder, after a man was stabbed in Norwich.
It happened around 10.15pm, on Friday 1 November.
Police were called to a property in Mousehold Street where they found a man in his 40s who'd been stabbed.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Saturday 2 November, with the preliminary findings showing the man’s death was consistent with a stab wound to the chest.
Police arrested a 46-year-old man and a 37-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The 37-year-old was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and has since been released on police bail until January 2025, as investigations continue.
The 46-year-old was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Elvis Vickers, aged 46 and of Mousehold Street, has subsequently been charged with the man’s murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today (Monday 4 November 2024).
Norfolk Police tell us the Mousehold Street address will remain cordoned off for the next few days.
