Those working on Norwich's SOS Bus over the Christmas period are calling people celebrating in the city over Christmas to book their taxis well ahead of time.

It comes as bars, pubs and clubs in Norwich are expected to be busy today, as people welcome in 2025.

"If you've booked a taxi, you know you've got a way of getting home"

Belinda Buxton is one of who volunteers with the group:

"Stay together with your friends. If you get lost, find a Police Officer or go to club security. Failing that, you can always text your friends.

"That's always best to do given that they may not hear their phone ringing if they're in a loud and busy club".

"It's important to plan your journey home ahead of time, because if you get separated you might need to find another way home.

"Or if you've booked a taxi, you know you've got a way of getting home and you don't need to worry".
