Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Norwich have interviewed a man on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The man, in his 20s, voluntary attended a police station in Stoke Newington, London, yesterday (Sunday 15 September) by officers from the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team, who were assisted by the Metropolitan Police.

He was interviewed under caution and released.

The interview follows the death of 38-year-old Oliver Payne, who died after he was stabbed once in the chest in Paragon Place on 2nd August.

Senior Investigation Officer Detective Inspector Sam Pontin said: “Our enquiries are progressing and we continue with every effort to trace the suspect, who we believe was known to the victim.”
