A University student from Norwich wants an apology and his money back after being fined for breaking lockdown rules.

Bryn Richards was charged nearly two thousand pounds in November 2020 for his involvement in an anti-lockdown protest- around the same time two parties allegedly took place in Downing Street.

He believes many have now lost trust in the Government: "There's the old cliché that there's one rule for us and one rule for them, along with the banana republic type stuff, that is exactly what has happened here".

But he also told us that criticism being aimed at the Prime Minister isn't working: "The thing about accusing people of hypocrisy is it only works on honest people, it doesn't work on dishonest people."

He went to on say that he believes there's still a chance he could be successful: "Steve Baker in early 2021 sent a letter to Priti Patel asking her to refund everyone fined in the November lockdown. Clearly he wasn't successful then, but he might be successful now.

"So try again Steve!

He concluded by raising concerns that this could all happen again: "I think that they can just impose restrictions and lockdowns again at the drop of a hat. If they want to do it, they'll do it and Labour will fully support them every single time".
