Norwich man denies murder charge after fatal stabbing

Benjamin Katabana pleads not guilty as investigations into the death continue.

A man accused of murder in connection with a fatal stabbing on Somerleyton Street in Norwich has denied the charge.

Benjamin Katabana, 27, a Congolese national living on Somerleyton Street, has pleaded not guilty following the death of a man in his 30s.

Emergency services were called to the property on Saturday, 22nd November, where the victim was found with a serious injury.

A Home Office post-mortem examination, conducted the next day, confirmed that the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.

Katabana remains in custody while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police have not released further details at this stage.
