Norwich City's announced it's picked a local homelessness charity as the club’s next nominated matchday charity.

Founded in 1972, St Martins Housing Trust helps people in Norfolk experiencing, and at risk of, homelessness, providing both physical and mental support, having done so for over 50 years.

It supports people sleeping rough, offers emergency assessment accommodation, hostel accommodation, two residential homes and a learning and development centre.

In 2024 alone, the charity:

Provided 254 beds every night of the year

Accommodated 938 people

Delivered 7,616 interventions to manage emotional, mental and physical health

Delivered 9,803 care and support hours to support people to live independently in the community

Offered 244 activity sessions across all of St Martins' services which have been accessed by 1,104 people

Dr Jan Sheldon, chief executive of St Martins, said, “We are thrilled to be selected for Norwich City’s nominated matchday charity.

“Just as the Canaries are synonymous with Norwich, so the work of St Martins is integral to the city.

“A person sleeping rough needs a roof over their head, a warm bed and specialist support. St Martins provides this – and so much more.

“We have supported thousands of local people who have experienced homelessness to lead independent, fulfilling lives – and others live in our residential projects for the rest of their lives.

“Our work transforms lives, and in many cases saves lives, and we are immensely proud to have this platform at Carrow Road to showcase our charity.”
