Norwich receives £25 million in government funding

Norwich has been announced as one of the first seven places to gain from the central government 's latest investment.

The city is getting £25 million to help boost regeneration.

The money makes up part of a wider £178.7 million Towns Fund pot.

Chloe Smith, MP for Norwich North, says: "This £25,000,000 will make a big difference to our city. It’s great news, and testament to lots of hard work together to get this far.

“Being awarded first shows, I think, that Norwich is on the map. We’ve been heard.

“The government’s investment in Norwich will help create homes and jobs locally, which are fundamentally important for people. I’m really excited about the future for East Norwich in our plans."
