Norwich Film Festival starts tonight
The event can be attended virtually or in person for the first time in its history

The Norwich Film Festival gets under way this evening and for the first time in its twelve year history, guests will be able to attend virtually or in person.
The event runs for nine days and ends on the 21st, with its aim being to celebrate and encourage local filmmakers
The Forum, The Garage and Millennium Library will be hosting in-persons screenings. While they can also be viewed from home.
Niamh Brook, who's helping to run the festival told us that it'll be a great experience for anyone interested in film:
"Come along and feel the buzz of it all. You'll be able to enjoy what's on offer, learn a thing or two and maybe bump into a director and ask them a question"
She also told us the early signs are film-makers in the East, are continuing to set the bar very high:
"The East Anglian strand is incredible. Not only do they showcase how amazing the landscape is, the film making and story-telling is just another level. It keeps on getting better and better every year".
Ms Brook, went on to say that attending and submitting an entry can be really valuable for those wanting to get into the industry:
"Its an amazing platforms for aspiring filmmakers. Not only do you get the chance to get your piece showcased on the big screen but you also get a BAFTA qualified platform to boost your career".
She concluded by saying the event will be great for the Norwich, as well:
"It's an amazing thing for the City. I've been in touch with so many directors who say they are looking forward to coming down. While others have been in touch asking where the good bars are. It's such an incredible platform for Norwich as a whole".
