Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki will sit out Satruday's trip to Wigan, after picking up a slight calf injury.

The goalscorer was left on the bench for last weekend's 3 - 1 home win against Hull City, but isn't expected to face an extended period out.

In an update before Saturday's trip up north, Norwich boss David Wagner also confirmed Sam McCallum and Marquinhos are back in training.

There are no further new injury worries ahead of the fixture at the DW Stadium.

Struggling Wigan sit 22nd in the Championship, while Norwich remain in 9th.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, boss Wagner said: "We always say it, the most important thing is we stick to our principles, our identity, play our football, no matter who is in front of us."

"If it's a top three team or a bottom three team, that can't influence our mindset.

"We have to prepare for the challenge in front of us, mentally and physically. We need consistency in our performances, that starts with how we approach a game, how we play in and out of possession."
