Norwich City have secured their place in the Premier League before even kicking off against Bournemouth.

With Swansea and Brentford failing to win their lunchtime games, Norwich have got their spot in the Premier League without playing another match.

Brentford drew 0-0 against Millwall, while Swansea finished 2-2 against Wycombe.

It meant Norwich's points total of 90 could only be reached by Watford, who occupy the other automatic promotion spot in second.

The Canaries were aware a victory over the Cherries at Carrow Road would ensure an instant return to the top flight after they were relegated in July.

Boss Daniel Farke remained in charge despite their bottom place finish in the Premier League last season and has masterminded a superb campaign, with 27 wins out of their 41 league fixtures so far.

Fans have already started celebrating around the world, with many supporter groups tweeting their congratulations to the team.

The players have also been celebrating, with many posting online about the team's success.

Norwich v Bournemouth

Despite securing the Premier League promotion Norwich didn't manage to get a win in their match against Bournemouth on Saturday (17th April) night.

The Cherries beat the Cherries 3-1 mat Carrow Road.

Emi Buendia's fifth-minute goal gave the hosts the lead, but after a red card for Dimitris Giannoulis, the game turned after the break, with the Cherries rounding off victory with goals from Sam Surridge, Arnaut Danjuma and Lloyd Kelly.
