Local decision-makers in North Norfolk are telling us that they're plenty of energy support out there for pensioners who are struggling to pay their bills

It's as many are having to cut back on things like food and heating- with the energy price cap standing at just over £1,900 a year- one of the highest it's ever been

"Lots of help out there"

Tim Adams, the leader of the North Norfolk district council says

"There certainly will be many of those struggling to heat their homes this winter.

"Perhaps midwinter the government will need to look at what else they can be doing to help people,

"But there lots of help out there through both the councils and the communities.’

He urges those suffering to reach out to their councils or energy companies for help, or advice.

"Numerous warm spaces still running"

One thing he suggests to those who struggling during the winter are warm spaces

"There are numerous warm spaces still running and being set up

"Besides just being a place for people to just stay warm there’s also activities, warm drinks’.
