A Norfolk travel agency have told us they're experiencing their "busiest January in years".

This all comes despite inflation remaining in double-digits, and increasing numbers of people reportedly falling victim to scams offering cheap holidays.

"Everyone feels like they still need a holiday"

Vicky Samwell-Buckenham is the manager of Oyster Travel Norwich:

"We have predicted that it will continue, certainly for the next couple of months. We don't really see it getting any quieter given how busy we are now.

"It is difficult to know but I think that now the world has started to open up and there is so more variation- it will continue.

"We have found that people are booking ahead, not necessarily all for this summer but also for next year. But they are doing it so they still have something to look forward to.

"I think that is the main message that we've taken from our customers that everyone feels like they still need a holiday."

"We're still incredibly busy with summer bookings"

She says their clients are planning to go all over the globe:

"It's really nice to see now that people are travelling back to Australia, Canada and USA. But we're still incredibly busy with summer bookings to Mallorca and Menorca."

Experts are also urging us to do thorough research before booking and to stay away from things like paying by bank transfer.
