Searches are continuing to trace Kim Wilde nearly a week on after she was reported missing from her home in Thetford.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Constabulary’s Marine Unit are involved in searches around a stretch of the River Thet near to Thetford town centre.

A cordon will be in place as the searches are carried out.

Inspector Howard Elvidge from Norfolk Constabulary said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries to find Kim, including tracing her movements on CCTV in the town centre and are treating this as a missing person investigation.

"Kim is last seen in the area of the river which is why our searches today are focused on the River Thet.”

The 65-year-old went missing from her home in Kimms Belt, Thetford, at 4.20pm on Friday 5 January 2024 and police have become increasingly concerned for her welfare.
